Just got my BA in media theory and production, so I'm on the lookout for jobs in the entertainment industry. I also do assorted freelance work and make short films.
How'd you end up here? Where else do you play/have you played?
I was really into online RP when I was around 15-16, where I played mostly on an original-themed sci fi MUCK called Stellar Convergence (now defunct). I gradually lost interest in roleplaying over the years but lately I'd found myself gravitating back to it. Found XMM via mudconnector.
Hobbies, favorite movies, favorite music?
Filmmaking, art, writing; too many to list, but my pick of the moment is No Country For Old Men; generally indie, classic rock, and little bits of prog/metal/industrial here and there.

Kas
How old are they?

What do they do?
He's basically a human chameleon, with no control over who he mimics and no ability to turn his power off. Lives on the streets right now, but I'm hoping he'll end up at Xavier's.
Tell us about them!
It's been about a year since Kas' power manifested and although he's far from thrilled with his situation, he's at least come to terms with it. He was raised evangelical Christian but his mutation lead him to question and abandon his beliefs, and he accepts most things with a kind of "okay, what now?" sarcastic teenage fatalism. He's a bit morally gray but ultimately strives to do the right thing.
Any plots you think they might fit into?
I think Kas would be great for espionage or "heist" plots. He could also be brainwashed or manipulated into being a near-perfect assasin.
Any type of RP you're hoping to get?
I'm not choosy, but I developed the concept for Kas as a way of exploring identity and anonymity so I would love to see him in anything that examines those themes. I prefer continuity over one-offs but I don't want to get Kas involved as a major player in anything that couldn't go on without him. Sometimes my schedule can get very busy on short notice and I'd hate to leave anyone hanging.

How old are they? 26
What do they do? He's a post doctoral researcher, at the shaw research center
Tell us about them! Well. He's.. quite nice. And very focussed on his work. He wrote a paper on hormones and their effects on gene expression, which has some relevance to mutants and how they often manifest during puberty.
Any plots you think they might fit into? Oh lots. Anything to do with science, or that might pique his curiosity.
Any type of RP you're hoping to get? I'm open to everything, so will see what happens.

Tell us about them! He's an ok guy. He was raised to watch out for the little guy and will do that, he also doesn't like to tiptoe around issues when the situation doesn't call for it.

Bumping this thread because I've mentioned and linked to it! With handy form moved, too. I don't think we really need to modify the questions, because we can use this as an OOC tool! What kind of plots you think they might fit into can come in handy for would-be plotters. What kind of RP are you hoping to get can still apply: some people are all about the plots, the figuring stuff out. Other players are (more) about the character interaction. ( Note to self: start possible discussion thread re: plot-oriented storytelling vs character-oriented, and how they can work together? Food for thought.)
