Each X-Factor agent is given a personal communication device upon arrival on base. They are expected to wear these devices at all times.

Com units are disguised as watches and are generally watch-sized. They vary in style according to agents' preferences, as well as to avoid the appearance of uniformity. XF com units are highly secure. They can function via both satellite and cell towers, making communication possible from almost anywhere in the world.
