Tobias was kidnapped February 8, 2009 and was held in the Pied Piper AU until rescue by X-Factor in March 2009.

Upon rescue, he was offered a position with X-Factor along with the other rescued captives, but eventually chose to return to his family hotel business in upstate New York instead.
